Our recent trip, as four siblings to Mount Tamalpais was especially potent for me. We all knew Liza’s time was limited at that point and it made the good parts of the trip that much sweeter for all of us. I marveled at Liza's new found energy and I think she did too, not really knowing where she had found that energy to power on, and on. It wore me out daily.
The trip definitely brought back memories of long ago Mountain Theater performances that we attended as children and again as teenagers as we wandered up and down those giant stone steps of the theater following clear memories. We thought and talked about Bolinas times. Those summer country months were a major part of our growing up in Northern California and a large part of our education in becoming nature loving people. Liza seemed such a free soul during that time, at least to me, her bigger free roaming brother. It was very powerful to revisit those places that were so sacred to all of four of us.
I will think of her as a silhouette against the sky outlined as she stands in the grasses of Tam ridge with the sun setting into the ocean below and behind us. For me, that is one spot that is hers.

I'm thinking about our broken hearts this morning and thanking my lucky stars for my times with Liza. Such an amazing being of light, and music, and joy.
Liza helped me do things - musically and otherwise - that I didn't know I was capable of. And she always left me feeling not diminished, but enlarged, somehow. That feeling will stay with me for good.

What a beautiful person Liza was. She was such a huge gift to the world.
Liza was a sparkle of sunshine at the Growing Center. I will miss seeing her there and hearing the beautiful music she played. But, most of all, my family will always think of her around the Gathering of the Fairies. Such a special event that always feld like it had a touch of magic to it.

Dear Liza. You are one of a kind. I have never seen anyone so talented, kind and brave.
I am so glad you are my sister-in-law.

There's nothing I can tell you about the magnificence of Liza that upi don't already know. Her kindness and generosity are famous within our community.
Her courage and fortitude are an example for anyone who knows about the rigors of her life in recent years. Many who know her haven't known about her illness, which she seemd to wear so lightly.
